• Anachronisms: After Louisa jumps off the steps, a blue car is seen driving up the Cob behind Captain Wentworth.
  
  
• Continuity: When Anne visits Mrs. Smith the second time she goes in wearing a pink dress and comes out wearing a blue dress.
  
  
• Factual errors: At the dinner at the Musgrove's, the Musgrove girls read from the Navy List that the Laconia is a 74 gun frigate. Frigates of that era had at a maximum around 44 guns. A ship with 74 guns would have been a "ship of the line".
  
  

• Continuity: Anne finds a letter folded into a boat when she is tidying the junk room early in the picture. The letter is actually the one the the captain writes to her much latter in the movie.
