But hardly a great movie. The ending is satisfying in a way that is not normally the case with a Hollywood film, and O'Donnell's realization that Barrymore is indeed wacko is nicely handled. Still, if you wanna see a film about mental illness among the teen set, watch GIRL INTERRUPTED. As for the director, Antonia Bird, she can do no wrong in my book. A few years later, she made RAVENOUS.
