- The rape is shown at least once. It is very dark, but the female is clearly seen stripped naked for about half a second. Full frontal nudity.
- A dead naked teenage girl is shown lying face down. Her butt is visible. She is portraying a minor.
- A scene of a brutal rape is seen as a series of flashbacks during a state execution. No nudity.
- Sexual innuendo on a few occassions.
Violence & Gore

- There is a scene where two men drag a teenage boy and a teenage girl from their parked vehicle. The men then proceed to hold the boy at gunpoint while they take turns raping the girl. Both of them are brutally murdered after the rape. It is extremely disturbing.
Profanity

- Multiple uses of "n***er", about two "f*ck". "Shit", "damn", "son-of-a-bitch" on rare ocassions during the movie.

- Poncelet excuses his actions as he reports that he was high on alcohol, LSD, and other drugs at the time he committed the crime.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

- All of the violence in this film is presented in a way to make it seem realistic so the scenes containing violence are very intense and disturbing.
- A lethal injection of a prison inmate.
- A brutal scene of the rape and murder of a teenage girl and boy. the girl is raped repeatedly by two men while the boy is held at gunpoint. at one point the rapist becomes bored with the girl and begins to stab her in the chest multiple times. this causes the boy watching to become greatly distressed and screams and struggles; at this point the man holding him down shoots him in the back of the head. afterwards the girl, who is now mortally wounded is seen crawling towards the boys dead body. the man who stabbed her picks up a .22 caliber rifle and shoots her in the head.
- The movie is very emotional.

- A man is shown being executed via lethal injection. It is not graphic, but there is a closeup shot of a needle being inserted into the prisoner's arm.
