Trivia:

On the day of shooting for the 1970s flashback shootout, George Kennedy had come down with pneumonia. He was so ill that he couldn't even walk. To make sure the scene was shot, the director had Kennedy sit on a bar stool for his entire part in the scene. Notice when Frank meets Ed, Ed never gets up from his stool. When Ed is supposed to leave, leaving Frank alone with Tanya, Kennedy simply just leaned back out of the shot to create the illusion of his character getting up and leaving.

Goofs:

Continuity: When Frank is disguised as Phil Donahue he jumps on the end of the stairs, but in the next shot he's on the side of the stairs.

Fantastic once again for the last time

As you maybe know, I really loved the first two Naked Gun films. I was a little afraid of the fact that they changed the director. David Zucker went away from the director's room and Peter Segal went in. But David Zucker still co-wrote the film, so why worry. And I was right, because all the characters are there, and the fun writing is there also. Peter Segal is great replacement, and the other newcomer Robert Locash, who co-wrote the film with Pat Proft and David Zucker, also did a great job. Leslie Nielsen is of course great, as always. It's just too bad they didn't did another one, but maybe it's better with just three, because it only could get worse. Go see all of them.
