Warning: Spoilers
As Reba McIntire sings a beautiful country song over the credits, you get to see her in action. Attentive husband Keith Carradine, doting grandfather Donald Moffat, a young son and daughter beautiful picture. The only worm in their country apple living is younger sister Genia Michaela, a sassy teen bored by it all, just wanting out. McIntire gets her husband's blessing to go back to college when Michaela selfishly moves out (with a soul destroying slap), and the daughter blames her mother for abandoning them and forcing her aunt to leave.

As college life is revealed to her, she finds much of her life being turned upside down, especially her daughter getting into all sorts of trouble out of deliberate rebellion. She's harassed by the male coeds for being older, and finds only one real friend, sweet associate professor Henry Arnold who as it turns out ain't so sweet. But tragedy is looming and McIntire is torn between her dreams and her responsibilities even more. The pairing of McIntire and Carradine is perfect, and it makes me wonder how Reba would have been as his wife in the big lavish Broadway musical, "Will Rogers Follies". A sweet family drama that put Ms. McIntire closer to my heart. One of the most fair minded view of a marriage I've ever seen.
