Sex & Nudity

  • There's no nudity. One sexual reference is when Catherine sits on her fiancé's lap while they're alone in a room while at a friend's home and she tries to romance him, and he says, "I won't make love to you at a dinner party." There's also a reference when Ed is talking about a problem with the fiancé's car and he says, "There's no spark" and then says "The stroke is short and there's premature ignition" and it's clear (to older children and adults) that it's a double entendre. All of this is very mild.

Violence & Gore

  • There's no gore. The only violence is when a man gets his face slapped by a woman.

Profanity

  • 1 use of bitch, hell, screw, my goodness, oh my god, my god, oh my god and dago 2 uses of idiot
  • A character in an early scene mutters the word "bitch" when his car develops problems. I didn't hear it when I first viewed the film, so it's fairly easy to overlook. There's also an uncomfortable reference when a character, in referring to making changes on a car says, "Dago the front?"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • No drugs, no smoking. There may be alcohol at a dinner party, but it's not easily apparent.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are some scenes in a psychology lab where a man is screaming because he is in a room with no way to tell time. There are also a couple of comments about inducing orgasm in rats and putting electrodes on their genitals.
