Sex & Nudity

  • Deformed woman walks around topless for several minutes. Breasts are part of a special effects makeup.

Violence & Gore

  • A nun falls off of a cliff and onto a rock offscreen. Her body is seen covered in blood from a distance.
  • Two women (who appear to be in a trance) crack whips on their own backs numerous times. The impact is not shown.
  • A woman is stabbed to death by a cloaked figure. Flowing water around her turns red from blood. Although not too graphic, the scene is a bit long and uneasy.
  • A disheveled man and a little girl eat raw fish.
  • A nun attempts to strangle a woman. The nun is ultimately pushed out of a window, presumably to her death.
  • An old woman is brutally burned alive, before jumping into the ocean. Afterwards, we see grotesque burn wounds on her face.
  • A nun's head is bashed into the floor several times (blood sprays from the gash and onto the floor).
  • Canvases and cave walls are seen being painted with blood.
  • Thousands of dead fish are found washed up on a shore.
  • In the most graphic scene, a woman digs into a nun's stomach, pulls her entrails out, and eats them. Fairly bloody and drawn out.

Profanity

  • Other than a single use of "shit" and other minor language, profanity is almost nonexistent.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The atmosphere of the film is very creepy and anxiety-inducing. Demonic imagery is scattered everywhere along with candlelit settings, dark caves, and disturbing sound effects.
  • Although the film primarily relies on atmosphere to disturb, there are a few effective jumpscares and brief moments of intense violence.
