- Continuity: The paint marks on Nathan's right arm change shape.
- Crew or equipment visible: When the cop car pulls out to chase the leprechaun, some equipment is reflected in the window.
- Revealing mistakes: The clover patch is obviously just a green light being shone on the dirt.
- Continuity: When Ozzy spills the paint, he is completely covered, yet the floor below him is completely free of paint.
- Errors in geography: There are no tarantulas in North Dakota.
- Continuity: Early on, the leprechaun badly scratches Tory on the leg. Later in the film, his leg shows no sign of damage.
- Continuity: When Tori and Nathan are first in the diner, it is clearly dark outside. When Alex and Ozzie join them in the next diner shot, it is still daylight outside.
- Revealing mistakes: The wires that cause the suitcase to wobble are visible, especially when Mrs. O'Grady gets close to it.
- Continuity: Nathan shoots the leprechaun after he entered through the chimney. The leprechaun lies in different positions between shots.
- Revealing mistakes: Near the end of the movie, when the leprechaun is wresting, it is obviously a taller stunt double. His tights change from above his knee to below his knee.
- Errors in geography: The movie takes place in North Dakota, but the Jeep and cop car have the older Illinois plates.
- Revealing mistakes: When Tory is giving the Leprechaun his gold by the well, you can see the wire holding the sack of gold.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: After Tori has given the leprechaun his sack of gold, she runs back to the house. We hear her crying in horror, but her lips do not move at all.
- Crew or equipment visible: When the Leprechaun is in the wheelchair chasing Tori, the wheels from the camera dolly are reflected in the side of the wheelchair.
- Factual errors: When Tori goes to call the cops the phones are out. So she then grabs her "portable" phone from her purse. Rural North Dakota did not have cell phone service in the early 90s.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Tory, and Nathan are in the house shooting at the leprechaun with the shotgun, the sound effect for the shotgun changes from a shotgun sound to the sound of a silenced gun between shots.
- Continuity: When Nathan, Ozzy, Alex, and Tory go down after Ozzy first meets the Leprechaun, as they leave and go up the stairs, Nathan is in front of Alex, but when the shot switches to facing down the stairs, Nathan is in back.
- Audio/visual unsynchronized: When they're attempting to flee in the truck and the engine won't turn over, Nathan can be heard saying "oh no", yet his mouth does not move.

- Revealing mistakes: SPOILER: When Dan O'Grady is talking to Tory, he is hanging upside-down from the roof of the elevator. He dies after talking to her, but instead of his head slumping down toward the ground, his head slumps up toward his chest.
