Storyline
After a terrible air disaster, survivor Max Klein emerges a changed person. Unable to connect to his former life or to wife Laura, he feels godlike and invulnerable. When psychologist Bill Perlman is unable to help Max, he has Max meet another survivor, Carla Rodrigo, who is racked with grief and guilt since her baby died in the crash which she and Max survived. The plane crash of the movie was inspired by a real air crash event that took place in 1989. United Airlines flight 232, a DC-10, suffered a major hydraulic loss after an engine explosion. While attempting to land to Sioux City airport the plane failed came in too fast and in wrong angle, resulting a devastating crash onto the cornfields next to the runway. See more »Goofs
