- Slapstick violence in almost every scene. Men attempt to cut open Ernest's head but it, in a comic off-screen way, doesn't work. An arrow goes through Ernest's shoe. Men shoot harpoons at Ernest. Nails go through Ernest's hat but it isn't fatal.

- None, except for the scene where Ernest inadvertantly puts a scentific chemical on his sandwich, he eats it, drinks some acid and then throws is back up.

- Ernest spends most of his screen time riding on a cannon trying to survive but it's always played for laugh. The last scene could be intense for younger kids.
