Fun Stuff

Trivia:
The casting of Dil proved extremely difficult for the filmmakers (Stanley Kubrick had at one point warned Neil Jordan the role was probably uncastable) until the casting director (Susie Figgis) received a tip-off from director Derek Jarman about Jaye Davidson. Davidson was later "discovered" by the film's casting agents at a wrap party for Jarman's film Edward II (1991), and was offered the opportunity to try out for the role of Dil. Davidson was (by his own admission) very drunk and not particularly enthusiastic (he thought it was just a joke at first) but eventually took the role in order to pay for a pair of hand-made leather riding boots he had seen in a copy of Vogue magazine. more
Goofs:
Audio/visual unsynchronized: During the scene shot at Balbriggan County, Dublin, a Northern Ireland Railways GM locomotive 113 passes in the background, with a passenger train. The sound dubbed in is a British Rail HST railcar set, which is quite different. The sound effect is also too short; most of the train passes silently. more
Quotes:
Dil: What you thinking of, hon?
Fergus: I'm thinking of your man.
Dil: Why?
Fergus: I'm wondering why you keep his things.
Dil: I told you. I'm superstitious.
Fergus: Did he ever tell you you were beautiful?
Dil: All the time. Even now.
Fergus: What do you mean?
Dil: He looks after me. He's a gentleman, too.

The Crying Game is a really great film. Stephen Rea and Miranda Richardson are very good as well. Along with Forrest Whitaker was great w/ his English accent. The tale of the Frog and the Scorpion I have related to my life many a time. See it.

The movie everybody's talking about, but nobody's giving away it's secret.
