Factual errors: In the final scene, Cohen stops his badly damaged car in a downtown area. It is immediately surrounded by the many police cruisers that were giving chase. Dozens of officers leave these vehicles, pull their weapons, and take aim at Cohen. But none of them gives him any kind of command. In a real situation, at least one officer would immediately order Cohen to drop his weapon and follow other necessary instructions.
Factual errors: In order to replace a flat tire, Cohen exits the freeway and enters a field full of oil derricks. But there are no security fences around the field to keep unauthorized persons and vehicles out. Actual oil fields are always enclosed by such fences.
Plot holes: After noticing that his car is low on fuel, Cohen exits the freeway and stops at a gas station. While refueling the vehicle, the attendant notices much blood dripping from inside the trunk, which supposedly contains Tate's dead body. But vehicle trunks are sealed in such a manner that any liquid inside stays there; it would be nearly impossible for a large pool of blood to drip out. In addition, Tate later turns out not to be dead; a bulletproof vest stopped the bullet that was fired at him. With no bullet wound, a pool of blood would not have accumulated in the trunk in the first place.
Revealing mistakes: During the nighttime drive, Cohen pulls his car off the freeway and stops at a mailbox to deposit an envelope containing cash. But clearly there are no postage stamps on the envelope as he drops it into the box.
Revealing mistakes: During the nighttime driving scenes, many round white glares from freeway lights are visible through the side windows of Cohen and Tate's car. However, even though the vehicle is traveling at freeway speeds, these lights barely move.
