Fun Stuff

Trivia:
John Carl Buechler was so impressed with Kane Hodder when he ate live worms on the set of Prison (1988), that he pushed for Paramount Pictures to let him cast Hodder in the role of Jason. If it had not been for Buechler's persistence, the role of Jason Voorhees would have been reprised by C.J. Graham. more
Goofs:
Plot holes: Jason goes five miles (see the sign) out of his way to kill Michael and Jane when there's a houseful of partygoers right across the street. more
Quotes:
Narrator: There's a legend around here. A killer buried, but NOT dead. A curse on Crystal Lake, a death curse. Jason Voorhees' curse. They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him. NO ONE can. more

FAQ

At the end of Part VI, Jason has the gloves on when he is underwater. But in Part VII it shows the parts from the last movie, you see him with the gloves on, then with the gloves off. Jason also got a belt from the guy playing paintball in Part VI, but he doesn't have it in Part VII. Part 6 Jason is wearing a green jacket/shirt with gray pants. However, in part VII he is wearing a dark blue boiler suit! Can you explain that?
At the beginning, they show a glimpse of the camp and the sign says Camp Crystal Lake, but in Part VI it was called Camp Forest Green! Why is that?
Why is John Shepard still in the lake after so many years? And why isn't he decomposed?

John Carl Buechler's "Friday the 13th Part VII:The New Blood" is nothing in comparison to "Jason Lives".Still its a decent addition to the series, unfortunately it was absolutely butchered by the MPAA.The cuts in some gore scenes are almost laughable. This time Jason Voorhees rises from his water grave awakened by Tina, the telepathic hero of the movie. He kills everyone who gets into his way.The makeup of Kane Hodder, who plays Jason on the prowl,is absolutely excellent. His clothes are tattered and his bones are exposed. He is a pure walking dead.Unfortunately there is no suspense whatsoever and the acting is rather bad.Anyway, for those who don't mind the same old type "Friday the 13th" picture, then pick this one up.7 out of 10.
