• Factual errors: The locomotive shown on the train is a switch engine. Switch engines are not used on road trains or Amtrak. Switch engines may be placed in the locomotive consist on road trains, however they are typically either isolated or dead-in-tow.
  
  
• Continuity: The locomotive is turned around in the two scenes when it passes the camera.
  
  
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Owen sits on the porch (with the door open), his mother sits in her chair in the living room, and Larry lies down on the rug between them. Larry disappears between shots. This was NOT a goof. Momma saw Larry on TV, wanted for murdering his wife and began hollering Larry was a murderer. The next shot in which Larry disappears clearly insinuated Larry had come to and had taken off, trying to escape.
  
  

• Continuity: When Owen sneaks into Margaret's house, he's barefoot. Then when her gardener shows up, he has to hide behind the couch, it clearly shows he has shoes on.
  
  
• Crew or equipment visible: (At 42:00) You can see somebody's hand at the right in the frame.
  
  
• Continuity: The final climactic scenes on the train show Momma opening the last door on the train located at the back wall of the car, and the view is of the train track. Subsequent scenes have the characters acting in an open doorway that is on the side of the train. The last shot in that scene once again shows an open door at the very back end of the train car.
