Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

A provocative-looking reel-to-reel tape player is briefly seen in the beginning of the song "B-Movie Show" whose spools appear to resemble pasties with tassels

Violence & Gore

Two characters have a tug of war with a picture in a glass frame which both send flying through the air and shattering on the floor.

An air-conditioner smashes and cracks the walls surrounding him, violently spews fire and sparks and blows up.

Toaster has a nightmare involving the kitchen getting set on fire and a boy getting pulled out of the room by a fist-shaped cloud of smoke, nearly being stabbed by giant forks and falling into a tub full of water; subsequently being electrocuted.

A character is electrocuted during a thunderstorm, shorts out and passes out.

Two characters fall out of a tree but are unharmed

The characters fall off a cliff into a rushing waterfall but are unharmed.

A blender is seen being taken apart by a repair person in a manner that seems to emulate dismemberment and we see the main characters wince in disgust.

The main characters dress up like a monster and scare the repair shop owner, who runs into a wall and gets knocked out.

A refrigerator crashes through a wall and various appliances follow.

During the song "Cutting Edge", Toaster gets an electric shock from a toaster oven, a rowboat crashes on top of a car and a jet plane crashes through a wall, but these are all played for comic effect.

The main characters are shown from outside getting tossed rather roughly from The Master's bedroom into a dumpster by the modern appliances.

We see various cars getting crushed by a compactor into scrap during the song "Worthless".

A character throws himself into the gears of the compactor, crushing himself in the process and stopping the compactor from crushing a man. However, he is later shown getting fixed and survives.

Profanity

Mild insults and name-calling, phrases like "Shut up." In one scene, The Radio says "damn."

None

Some of the scenes listed under "violence" can be considered frightening/intense.

The lamp turns on the light in a hollow tree, revealing it to resemble the face and mouth of a monster, subsequently scaring the main characters and himself.

A menacing, fireman's outfit-clad clown in Toaster's nightmare tells him to "run" and tries to douse him with water which then turns into giant forks that try to stab him, we then hear the clown laughing maniacally as Toaster hangs above a water-filled bathtub.

Blankie gets blown into a tree during a fierce thunderstorm and the other characters panic and try to save him.

The characters fall off a cliff into a rushing river and struggle against the flow, but are gradually rescued by Kirby.

Many of the appliances in the repair shop appear ghastly in their broken state, they also make sinister shadow puppets (including a knife) during the song "Like A Movie".

A giant trash magnet chases and terrorizes the main characters around a junkyard, the trash compactor (which seems to resemble giant teeth) also threatens to hurt them at various points.
