John Krasinski (Leatherheads, The Office) has joined the cast of an untitled comedy being written and directed by Nancy Meyers (Something's Gotta Give, What Women Want). Krasinski is in good company as the cast includes Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep. The film centers around a romantic love triangle, with Baldwin and Martin vying for the affection of Streep. Lake Bell, Zoe Kazan and Hunter Parrish also star. Scott Rudin (There Will be Blood) is producing for Universal. Krasinski committed to make the film during his hiatus from NBC’s The Office. He will next be seen starring in the Sam Mendes-directed Away We Go, which Focus Features releases in June. Meyers’ screenwriting credits include Jumpin' Jack Flash, Baby Boom, the Julia Roberts rom-com I Love Trouble and the two Father of the Bride films. Production is slated to start in the spring. »
