Storyline
In the near future, drive-in theatres are turned into concentration camps for the undesirable and unemployed. The prisoners don't really care to escape because they are fed and they have a place to live which is, in most cases, probably better than the outside. Crabs and his girlfriend Carmen are put into the camp and all Crabs wants to do is escape. Written by

I have just seen this film for the first time, and then I said to myself, "where has this movie been all my life??" This is a real cool flick. I can not say there is another one like this. It is very original, creative and action packed! Like Mad Max, it shows us a world-gone-to-hell in Australia, and the people who have to make their best in it.
I didn't know any of the cast, but I really liked the main actor. I was rooting for him the whole time. We could see his strong ambition to get out and get somewhere in life! And I liked the relationship he had with Frank and mum. But that girl was a stubborn drag, he should have got rid of her a long time ago. She turned into one of those dead-beats quick and it was obvious she wanted to stay.
There's plenty of cool cars, wrecks, explosions and bad people- all stuck together in this big trashy drive in. It's clear the filmmakers made great use of it. The end is rewarding and sent shivers up my body. Dead-End Drive In is a sci-fi/action that ranks among the best of it's type.
I see that it only got an average rating of 4.2 on IMDb, which is an outrage, and I'm wondering who's rating it! Well it's completely underrated.... it's at least an 8! I look forward to viewing it many more times in the future.
