Very strong largely pre-fame cast in a very entertaining film drama set in 1980's London Ad biz.

Absolutely loved this play when transmitted. Recorded it on VHS at the time, kept it ever since, and recently bumped it to DVD. Wonderful performances from a permanently weary Derrick O'Connor (superbly cynical), Adrian Edmondson, (when he had hair!),so laid back, he's barely awake - but like a true pro, can turn it on when he needs to... Arabella Weir (before she became more famous) in a languidly Chelsea secretarial role, and Richard E. Grant in the first performance I ever saw him in (pre-Withnail and I) - as a very Zen black-clad water- drinking designer..and.. Gary Oldman, as a leather-jacketed visitor, who wows the women, but prefers boys! What a cast! Denizens of London's 1980's advertising world - focusing on a campaign to promote a new beer... while keeping together their private lives. It is delightfully funny - and quite delightful...
