Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 9, of “The Masked Singer,” “One Mask Hurrah – Round 3 Finals,” which aired May 4 on Fox.
Alas, En Vogue couldn’t hold on, and this time, it was Shaggy. Both 1990s artists were eliminated on Wednesday night during the Round 3 finales of this season’s “The Masked Singer.”
The En Vogue trio of Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron and Rhona Bennett were unmasked as the Queen Cobra, while Shaggy was revealed to be the Space Bunny.
For Queen Cobra, Nicole Scherzinger figured out it was En Vogue, and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg agreed. Robin Thicke thought it was another 90s R&b group, Swv; and Ken Jeong went big with the more contemporary combo of Ariana Grande/Jessie J/Nicki Minaj.
As for Space Bunny, Thicke was correct with Shaggy, and Scherzinger agreed. McCarthy Wahlberg thought it was Sean Kingston and Ken Jeong guessed Owen Wilson.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 7, Episode 6, of “The Masked Singer,” “The Double Mask-Off — Round 2 Finals,” which aired April 13 on Fox.
The mystery of host Nick Cannon’s missing shirt wasn’t solved on Wednesday’s episode of “The Masked Singer,” but the show did send one more disguised celebrity to its final round. That meant that two more contestants were eliminated in a double exit on this week’s show: Duane “Dog the Bounty Hunter” Chapman as the Armadillo, and Jennifer Holliday as Miss Teddy.
Armadillo aka Chapman was voted out after singing the traditional hymn “Amazing Grace.” Previous songs he performed included “Secret Agent Man,” by Johnny Rivers and “I Fought the Law,” by the Bobby Fuller Four.
As for Holliday, as Miss Teddy, she sang “Mercy,” by Duffy. Before that, she performed “Tell It to My Heart,” by Taylor Dayne, and “Tell Me You Love Me,...

As much fun as it is to watch the celebrities perform on “The Masked Singer,” we get even more enjoyment from figuring out who they are. That is especially true if we can crack the mystery of who is hiding inside a costume before the four judges.
Season 7 of “The Masked Singer” promises to be the most competitive yet. The producers have packed the line-up with 16 stars performing inside 15 costumes (a pair were paired up as Hydra). They are divided into three types, the Good, the Bad and the Cuddly, and performed in groups of five. Group A is down to just one star still standing, the Firefly. Group B sang for the first time on March 30, with Lemur unmasked as supermodel Christie Brinkley. On April 6, we saw the exit of Hydra, who turned out to be magicians Penn & Teller.

You can take the characters out of Atlanta, but you can’t take the Atlanta out of the characters. As FX’s critical darling “Atlanta” returns for its third season, filmed and set almost entirely in Europe, that’s an important concept to remember. Earn (Donald Glover), Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (Lakeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) may be thousands of miles away from Atlanta, but the series makes clear from the jump that the titular spirit is still present. Perhaps even more so, as the series’ characters deal with being fish out of water in an international setting.
When “Atlanta” Season 2 ended back in 2018 Alfred (aka rapper Paper Boi) was on his way to Europe as the opening act for successful rapper Clark County, with cousin/manager Earn and best friend Darius in tow. Paris-based sales agent WTFilms, which specializes in genre movies, is presenting Romain Quirot’s sophomore feature film, “Apache: Gang of Paris,” at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris.

How did a little girl who loved Westerns grow up into an icon of queer cinema? As she wins a Teddy award, the filmmaker talks about a life devoted to the movies
When Jenni Olson accepts the Berlin film festival’s coveted Teddy award this month – for “embodying, living and creating queer culture” – she will join the ranks of past recipients including John Hurt, Joe Dallesandro and Tilda Swinton. “Me and Tilda, you know?” laughs the 58-year-old as she winces in the morning sunlight which is streaming into her home in Berkeley, California. With her youthful features, crisply side-parted hair and apostrophe-shaped eyes, she might have been drawn by Charles M Schulz.
“When I started my little gay film series at the University of Minnesota in 1987,” she says, “I never could’ve imagined that one of the largest film festivals in the world would recognise my work.” Along the way,...

The top movies on the Netflix global chart are pretty diverse this week, from recent originals like Ben Wheatley’s Rebecca to horror pictures such as The Purge: Anarchy and Cadaver. Sneaking onto the list, however, is the Seth Rogen-starring Neighbors, with the 2014 comedy currently sitting at sixth place in the worldwide rankings. Why, then, might the pic be getting so much love right now?
One possible answer is that Neighbors is a light, dependably funny movie and as we all know, it’s been a fairly bleak last few months. The Nicholas Stoller-directed production sees Rogen pair up with Rose Byrne as a husband-and-wife duo with a young child who have to deal with a fraternity moving in next door. Led by Zac Efron’s Teddy, the college kids soon end up in a war with Rogen and Byrne’s Mac and Kelly Radner, setting up some ingenious sequences.

Brandon Cronenberg has proven to be an heir to his father, David, with his grisly sophomore feature, “Possessor Uncut,” which took home best film and director at Spain’s 53rd Sitges Film Festival on Saturday.
Running Oct.8-18, the fantastic film fest, Europe’s biggest, wrapped yesterday in Sitges, a picturesque seaside resort just south of Barcelona.
With these new honors, Brandon Cronenberg also suggests that his best new director award at 2012’s Sitges for debut feature, “Antiviral,” was no fluke.
