Comcast’s NBC Universal and streaming hardware maker Roku have struck a deal that will see clips from popular NBC programs distributed via the Roku Channel, the companies announced on Wednesday.
Starting this week, short-form clips from NBC’s late night shows “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and weekend sketch show “Saturday Night Live” became available through Roku’s free streaming service, with excerpts from NBC Sports programming launching in the coming weeks.
The clips will be available shortly after the programs air on NBC stations across the country, and are accessible through the Roku Channel and other parts of Roku’s streaming platform, the companies said.

Ty Segall has announced his latest solo album, Three Bells, due January 26th. He accompanied the announcement with the project’s latest single, “My Room.”
Three Bells was co-produced by Segall and Cooper Crain, who worked together on 2021’s Harmonizer and 2022’s Hello, Hi. The 15-song release includes five collaborations with Segall’s wife Denée Segall as well as appearances throughout with members of his backing Freedom Band including bassist Emmett Kelly.
Segall also dropped “My Room,” the third offering from Three Bells following the seven-minute jam “Void” in August and the September single, “Eggman.” The song offers plenty of the Segall’s signature movies like a twisty acoustic riff and screechy guitar effects, and yet the singer-songwriter still manages to get pelted by bananas in the accompanying music video. Watch it below.
Three Bells arrives on January 26th via Drag City. Pre-orders are ongoing.

NBCUniversal is diving back into the free TV realm. Months after the company discontinued its free streaming tier of Peacock, Variety reports that NBCU is launching a bundle of free ad-supported streaming TV (Fast) channels in July, spanning multiple genres and with content from most of NBCU’s channels.
The new Fast channels will initially be available on Amazon’s free streaming platform Freevee, as well as Xumo Play, the joint venture that NBCU’s parent company Comcast is building with fellow cable provider Charter Communications. No specific date was provided for the launch of the channels, but they are slated to be available sometime next month.

It’s not yet clear if the new channels will be added to other NBCU streaming platforms, such as Peacock or its new live TV service Now TV. It would certainly make sense, as Now TV already carries...

Tonight on “The Masked Singer,” the three “Saved by the Bell” singers—Mantis, Gargoyle and Medusa—compete for their spot in the quarter-finals! All three were saved by the new “Ding Dong, Keep It On!” bell, but now two will be unmasked and only one will go on to be named the Group Champion. He or she will then battle it out against the three champions for a spot in the semi-finals!
TV’s favorite guessing game returns with all-new singers, all-new themed episodes and the “Champion of the Masked Singer” style competition. Every episode features sudden elimination and double unmaskings, but there was a new twist this season: for the first time ever, panelists had the opportunity to save a singer from looming elimination with the “Ding Dong Keep it On” Bell. Play along with host Nick Cannon and celebrity panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and Nicole Scherzinger.
