A feminist movie speaking of ordinary women who eventually become famous athletes in a football team. This also could have been the topic for a Bob Aldrich's film. Don't forget that our man not ONLY made films for die hard men - DIRTY DOZEN, LONGEST YARD, TOO LATE THE HEROES, EMPEROR OF THE NORTH, but also films for women such as KILLING OF SISTER GEORGES, HUSH HUSH SWWET CHARLOTTE, WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE, and of course, CALIFORNIA DOLLS, the most close to this one !!!
