Airplane! (1980) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Rated PG for crude and suggestive humor, language, and nudity.

One 3-second shot of female topless nudity (only a random pair of breasts can be seen).

Captain Oveur reads a magazine called "Modern Sperm."

There is a newsstand magazine section labeled "Whacking Material" with various suggestive magazine covers.

We see a woman's breasts shaking (fully clothed).

There is a scene where Julie Haggerty needs to blow up an inflatable pilot. The tube to blow him up is on his lap and it looks like she is giving him oral sex.

Violence & Gore

People commit suicide by hanging, by lighting themselves on fire, and by stabbing themselves (none graphic) after having to listen to a boring story.

Comic punching.

In one scene, the s--t hits the fan - literally and graphically.

Profanity

About 3 uses of the s-word and several mild profanities.

A female character, who first shuns a drink of alcohol, snorts a line of cocaine.

A man keeps making references to the weeks he will quit smoking, drinking, and amphetamines.

A man is shown sniffing glue, and then shown stumbling around under the influence a few times.

A plane crashes into the Chicago Airport, comically.

There is a fist fight/bar brawl between two girls scouts that lasts a minute or so.
