- Lupin III creator Monkey Punch stated that the character Fujiko is based on the Bond girls. Like the Bond girls Fujiko Mine's name has a suggestive meaning. In Japanese, Fujiko's name is a reference to her large breasts. The English translation of the word Mine is mountain peak. Fujko is a reference to Mt. Fuji.
