The tune is from the "Troika" movement of Sergei Prokofiev's score for Poruchik Kizhe (Lieutenant Kije). It was sampled by Greg Lake for his single "I Believe in Father Christmas", and is often used for Christmas and winter settings.

Alfred Lutter III, who had played Ellen Burstyn's son in Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore, and went on to become one of The Bad News Bears.
