A good historical film
searchanddestroy-16 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
I had never heard of this film from Poland, and of the lead character either. A polish king who lived and ruled this country just in the Middle Ages. Medieval times, I can't tell exactly when. It's rather interesting to watch this. Although I find it a bit long. It could have been shorter. Of course, we can think of Alexander Ford's TEUTONIC KNIGHTS, made twenty years earlier, if I am not wrong. Good action sequences with many people for the background. Some brutal scenes, and also some that may you think of Paul Verhoeven's FLESH AND BLOOD.

I don't know where it is from, VHS release or TV taping off. It will remain a mystery. I am surprised that no one, at least from Poland, has commented it yet.

Yes, a very worth film for those in search of rare historical features.
