Stella Stevens was chosen for the role of Dragon Lady when the Hong Kong production company could not find a suitable Chinese actress that spoke fluent English.
Even though the Cleopatra Jones films were hits, star Tamara Dobson wasn't able to capitalize on them. The blaxploitation genre soon dried up and she never become a huge star. They were her only leading roles.

The yellow helicopter with the pontoons is an Aerospatiale SA 318S Alouette II, registration VR-HGX. It was one of five helicopters owned by Hong Kong Air International Ltd. that was in business from 1971 to 1976. After undergoing various other owners and registrations, as of 2022 it is registered in France as F-GNCT.
When Cleo is in a taxi just after arriving in Hong Kong, she passes a skyscraper with round windows. It's the Jardine House (aka Connaught Centre). When completed in 1972 it was the tallest building in Asia at 585.6 ft (178.5 m). It held that distinction until the 728 ft (222 m) Hopewell Centre was finished in 1980. In 2022 it isn't even in the top 160 tallest buildings in Hong Kong.
