- TriviaThe total production time - including script approval by Lorimar, casting, special effects, voice-overs, and exterior shots - was slightly over two weeks, making this one of the quickest made-for-TV movie turnarounds ever. This was due mainly to a writers strike that began just before the script was completed.
- GoofsThe creatures keep changing size. During one scene, the creatures aren't much bigger than a few inches, as they hide behind the books. But, when they go outside to cut the cables, they are as tall as the trash cans.
- Quotes
Creatures: [closing lines] When will they come? When will they come? When will they come and set us free?
Sally Farnham: Of course they will come. You know they will.
Creatures: But when? When? When?
Sally Farnham: Soon. Very soon. We've lots of time. Lots of time. All the time in the world.
Creatures: All the time in the world . Time. Time. Time to set us free again.
Sally Farnham: All the time in the world.
Creatures: To set us free. Set us free. Set us free in the world. Free. Free. Free in the world. Set us free!

I don't like giving plot details away for movies such as this because it spoils it for people who haven't seen it and it makes the film less scary. It's far better for someone to watch a movie like this and not know what's going to happen next. That way, you're scared more. If I were to tell you about individual scenes you'd know what to expect and it just would not be scary.
All I will say is that the film is about a couple who move into a house with a chilling secret. If you want to know any more, it's best to watch the film.
If you've ready any of my other reviews of horror movies then you'll know that some films really do scare me. This was one of them. I watched this movie on my own one night and I just couldn't get to sleep. It's a spine chilling movie which will make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.
In my opinion, films like this are much scarier than films where there is a big green monster screaming right in your face.Without giving too much away, let's just say that a lot of the horror in the film is implied rather than show. This is truly scary.
What a great movie this was. However, the title of this film should actually have been Do Be Afraid of the Dark After Watching This Movie. If you like being scared, then watch this film. But don't watch it alone-if you do watch it then get straight on the telephone to a friend and ask them to stop the night. Trust me, you won't want to watch this alone.
