- Crew or equipment visible: A shadow in the mirror behind Khari in the library.
- Crew or equipment visible: The camera crew is reflected in the video screen as Chris watches Dr. Gibarian's message.
- Continuity: When Kris is standing in the rain near the beginning of the film the camera tilts down to the table to show a coffee cup and various other items. The cut to the next shot of Kris shows him to have moved (which seems reasonable as a small amount of time has elapsed) but all the items on the table are now in a different configuration.
- Factual errors: The station is in shape of thorus, rotating to produce artificial gravity, much like in 2001: A Space Odyssey. However, people who walk should walk on the far side of it, to be able to walk normally, not as shown in the picture or they would be thrown on their side, because gravity "works" from thorus' center outwards.
- Factual errors: In the scene of zero gravity, a candle is seen burning. The shape of a candle's flame in conditions where gravity exists is produced by rising of hot air, which is lighter. In conditions of zero gravity adjective "lighter" has no meaning. Therefore, this candle should not burn or should burn looking like it is glowing.
- Continuity: In the Library during and immediately after Dr. Snaut's birthday party, the heights of the candles and the center post of the candelabra change between shots.
- Continuity: During Snouth's birthday party, Chris falls to his knees in front of Hari. The camera clearly shows she is barefoot. In the following long shot, she is wearing shoes.
