Lily Collins has given some of the most undisputed performances in almost all of her projects, with the viewers being stunned not only by her exceptional acting charms but also by her irresistible beauty. That said, her portrayal of Ellen in her 2017 thriller/drama film with Keanu Reeves, To the Bone, was nothing short of the perfect proof of just how dedicated she is to her work as well.
Lily Collins in Emily in Paris.
However, her movie was booed down and deemed a controversial project that should be banned because it could trigger strong, unwanted emotions in the people actually suffering from anorexia nervosa. But the movie itself was a real masterpiece that needed to be created, and the response that Collins received for her tremendous physical transformation only further proved its necessity.

Lava for Good co-founders Jason Flom and Jeff Kempler, along with Pulitzer Prize-winning author Gilbert King, will partner with Oscar-winning film and television producer Cathy Schulman’s Welle Entertainment and Primary Wave Music to develop and produce a multi-season scripted television series inspired by Lava for Good’s award-winning podcast Bone Valley. Veteran screenwriter and TV producer Dana Stevens will adapt.
Written and hosted by King along with producer and researcher Kelsey Decker, the show chronicles the chilling story of Leo Schofield, the Central Florida man who was wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for killing his wife, Michelle. Schofield has spent over three decades in prison — even after another incarcerated man, Jeremy Scott, confessed in detail to the crime. The attention that King and the podcast have brought to the case was cited in Schofield’s most recent parole hearing in May of 2023, which resulted in Schofield being transferred to the Everglades Re-Entry Center.

“Mare of Easttown” Primetime Emmy Award winner Kate Winslet is making her return to HBO — this time, as a power-hungry, insufferable political leader. Stephen Frears and Jessica Hobbs direct the series about an unraveling authoritarian ruler, with Oscar winner Winslet joined in the cast by Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and Hugh Grant. Watch the latest trailer below.
The limited series, created and showrun by Will Tracy, premieres on HBO and Max March 3. Voting for the Emmys nominations begins June 13. That may feel like a long way off, even though the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards just happened (courtesy of the strikes) January 15. Place your easily made bets: Winslet will be part of the conversation once again this year.

This year celebrates 25 years since the final year of the 1900’s. A year that brought about such classics as The Matrix, Fight Club, American Pie, and Office Space as well as my personal favorite movie of all time: Arlington Road. The year was so successful that 20 years later it would inspire a book titled Best Movie Year Ever.
With a vast cannon of films ranging from highly anticipated block busting prequels (Star Wars: Episode 1- The Phantom Menace) to that years’ eventual Best Picture winner American Beauty and a movie that changed the meaning of twist endings forever (The Sixth Sense) 1999 truly was a year for the ages.
I will be honest, after compiling last weeks list for Best Movies from 1994 and now this list, I have to say 1994 was far more deserving of its own book! But that isn’t to say that 1999 doesn’t have a number of...

Blake Shelton did not write his country hit “Hillbilly Bone.” The “God Gave Me You” singer had a lot to say about the musician who wrote it. Notably, the tune performed a lot better on the country chart in the United States than it did on the all-genre chart.
The writer of Blake Shelton’s ‘Hillbilly Bone’ was behind many great tracks
During a 2010 interview with CMT, Shelton discussed putting albums together. “That’s the hardest thing about making a record — finding those songs that you instantly love that you don’t instantly get tired of,” he said. “That’s usually what happens. I was just lucky this time around with ‘Hillbilly Bone’ and ‘Almost Alright.’
“For whatever reason, [songwriter] Craig Wiseman has taken an interest in me as a singer,” Shelton added. “He’s been very active in getting songs to me as quickly as he can, which is awesome...

“Mare of Easttown” Emmy winner Kate Winslet is back at HBO — this time as a European authoritarian ruler under heaps of pressure, and crumbling because of it.
HBO has released another trailer for its upcoming series “The Regime,” headed for the premium TV network on March 3, 2024. Oscar nominee Stephen Frears (“The Queen”) and Jessica Hobbs (an Emmy-winning director on “The Crown”) direct the series showrun by Will Tracy.
“The Regime” tells the story of one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel. Along with Winslet, the cast includes Belgian “Rust and Bone” heartthrob Matthias Schoenaerts, Guillaume Gallienne, surprise 2023 Best Actress Academy Award nominee Andrea Riseborough, Martha Plimpton, and, a usual suspect for this sort of lofty Euro political fare, Hugh Grant. The trailer suggests layers of moneyed darkness a la “Succession” with a dash of Armando Iannucci “Veep” satire to match the drama.

Summer is almost over, but for those looking to squeeze in a few video games before the fun really begins in October, DreadXP are looking to make September just as fun. Similar to the publisher’s several iterations of the Dread X Collection collaborations (the last one being Dread X Collection 5 back in May 2022), The DreadXP Bone Jam will kick off on September 13th, and will be open to submissions until September 27th.
The theme for the Bone Jam finds you at an unsavory tomb-like cabin in the middle of the woods during a Summer night’s outing. Looking at the ground you spot something: unsure of where it came from or what it could be for, you found a letter addressed to a “Eustace B. Marrowmire”. While reading the letter, you find yourself in a room filled with hanging rib cages and other bones, leading you to find a way out.

Around the time of Diablo 4‘s release, I called Necromancers the worst class in the game for Endgame content. Well…that’s sadly probably still true. However, Necromancers remain both wildly popular and incredibly fun to play. They’re also perfectly viable in the Endgame if you work your way toward the best Necromancer Endgame builds.
Much as we did with Sorcerers’ Endgame builds, we’re going to be focusing on builds that represent Necromancers’ main styles of play. While some Necromancer builds are ultimately more powerful than others, your personal preferences may inspire you to choose one playstyle over the others. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s called having fun, and it remains valuable even late into the Diablo 4 experience.
Once again, though, please note that you will not find a full Paragon Board breakdown in these builds. Paragon Boards are still being uncovered/fine-tuned, so I...

Mel Gibson and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson are toplining Boneyard, an indie crime-thriller that has begun shooting in Las Vegas.
Brian Van Holt, who starred opposite Kate McKinnon in limited series Jo vs. Carole, is also starring in the feature whose cast includes Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff). Co-starring is Michael Sirow, most recently seen in SXSW movie The Wrath Of Becky.
Colin Bates, who produced the Halle Berry thriller Kidnap and the Arnold Schwarzenegger zombie drama Maggie, is producing the hot indie with Vincent McDaniel.
Inspired by true events, Boneyard tells of an FBI special agent, played by Gibson, who along with the Albuquerque police department, is hunting for a serial killer nicknamed The Bone Collector. The chief of police and one of his officers, however, have a contrary view of the manhunt, believing someone in their own department may be the killer.
Jackson is playing the chief while Van Holt plays the officer who is connected to the case through a missing niece.

Season 2 of the Netflix fantasy series Shadow and Bone is now available for streaming, and fans can’t get enough of The Darkling (Ben Barnes) and Kaz Brekker (Freddy Carter). The pair lead a cast of dark and fantastical characters as they evoke supernatural powers creating mystical worlds and alternate dimensions. The highly-successful series is based on the Grishaverse novels by author Leigh Bardugo. While both men portray characters from a different universe, the author claims two popular disco tracks would be perfect karaoke songs for the fan-favorite actors.

Mariah Carey is famous for topping the charts. In fact, she holds the record for the most number-one hits by a solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100 (19), and she became the first artist ever to hit number-one in four different decades. But of course no one can send every song they’ve recorded to the top of the charts. A number of Carey’s greatest hits didn’t reach the summit, but they belong in any discussion of her storied career. Scroll down for our countdown of her best non-chart-toppers.
Early in her career it was hard to find Carey singles anywhere but number-one. The first four from her very first album reached that position. The 1990s continued at that same pace: a whopping 14 of her chart leaders were released in that decade. The 2000s were less auspicious for her: she had career and tabloid trouble when her movie “Glitter” and its accompanying soundtrack underperformed.

Shadow and Bone viewers have called on Netflix to renew the series for another season amid uncertainty over the show’s future.
The fantasy series, adapted from books by Leigh Bardugo, has claimed the No 1 spot in Netflix’s “most watched chart”, usurping the serial killer drama You.
Despite this, the series is yet to be renewed for a third run of episodes.
Following the release of the second season on 16 March, fans of the series are petitioning the streaming service to commission a season three, with plenty of Bardugo’s source material still yet to make it to screen.
“I finished [Shadow and Bone season two] and just wow. Last episode was complete and total chaos they really threw every storyline in there but i’m soooo here for it,” one fan wrote. “Plz plz @netflix renew @shadowandbone_ bc i Need Need more of this in my life.”

This year's Emmy season has come and gone, and amongst the historic wins for Sheryl Lee Ralph, Quinta Brunson, and Lee Jung-jae, Netflix also took home the statue for Best Animated Program for the very first time. The streaming giant has been nominated in the past for "Big Mouth" and "BoJack Horseman," but it was "Arcane" that finally brought home the gold, and made Netflix the first streamer to ever take home the award.
This year's category was absolutely stacked, with "Arcane" besting the already Emmy award-winning series "The Simpsons," "Bob's Burgers," and "Rick and Morty," as well as the Chadwick Boseman-voiced episode of "What If...?" for Disney+. "Arcane" co-creator Christian Linke accepted the award during the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, delivering a speech honoring the video game world that inspired the series:
"Thank you for this. It's a big deal for us as we come from video games.

Days after "House of the Dragon" flew into homes with its Gwen Stefani-colored wigs and a lecherous Targaryen uncle, HBO renewed the "Game of Thrones" spinoff series for Season 2. Plenty has been written about how its predecessor over-relied on misogynistic violence. Ironically, "Game of Thrones" creator George R.R. Martin has stated that he uses brutal means — like rape and murder — in his stories to expose oppressive practices that hurt women. England's War of the Roses, a time which saw lady royals like Marguerite of Anjou fight for power, inspired Martin's epic series. In a post-Roe vs. Wade America, it's vital to acknowledge the historic violence women continue to face.

In the wake of Warner Bros. Discovery’s merger, HBO Max has removed a host of titles, including many that it produced and owns outright, prompting a single question — why?
Earlier this week, HBO Max thinned its library of available titles with the removal of 20 originals and an additional 16 movies. Some of the impacted titles were the one-season cult queer series “Genera+ion,” and animated shows like “Infinity Train” and “Summer Camp Island.” The streamer also announced that select “Sesame Street” specials would be cut, which turned out to be around 200 episodes of the iconic children’s show.
The answer is both simple and complex. Company insiders told CNBC that the dropped shows were not frequently watched but that their removal is expected to produce “tens of millions” of dollars in savings as Warner Bros. Discovery seeks to trim about 3 billion to pay down post-merger debt that has ballooned to more than 50 billion,...

Phil Rynda, whose official title is Netflix’s Director of Creative Leadership and Development for Original Animation, was let go this week, along with several of his staff, TheWrap can exclusively report and Netflix has confirmed. According to several creators who spoke to TheWrap, the Kids & Family space at Netflix Animation has changed. Series that benefited from great word-of-mouth and critical praise aren’t being renewed and several high-profile projects have been unceremoniously canceled, including the long-delayed adaptation of Jeff Smith’s beloved comic book series “Bone” (first announced back in 2019). Netflix, which just saw its stock plummet more than 30 after revealing a subscriber and revenue loss during its first-quarter earning report Tuesday, isn’t just in trouble on Wall Street. It’s also facing complications in Toon Town. Rynda’s firing was perhaps an inevitable end to a deeply chaotic period for Netflix Animation, particularly its Kids & Family division,...

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Shadow and Bone.”]
There’s no rulebook for fitting two books’ worth of story into eight episodes of TV. It would be a hard enough undertaking if that source material was set in a single location or one that didn’t have a gargantuan, seemingly endless magical void stretching across the horizon.
The Fold was just one hurdle in bringing “Shadow and Bone” to television. Aside from representing in visual form some of the otherworldly fantasy elements in Leigh Bardugo’s book universe, showrunner Eric Heisserer wanted to figure out a way to situate non-readers in this world as well. To start, he looked to a much different genre inspiration when working on the script for the opening episode.
“I treated it like a prestige medical drama. You have doctors throwing out terms that you’ve never heard of, for diseases and operations or even prescription meds. But you don...

For a series dominated by a giant, ominous void stretching impossibly high and across a wide stretch of land, it would be very easy for “Shadow and Bone” to be similarly swallowed up by darkness. Yet, one thing that sets this new Netflix adaptation apart from so many similar TV endeavors is its continued acknowledgement that there is far more to this fictional world than its threats.
Most of that is handled in the opening episode, a sprawling introduction to nearly every major player in this stage of the “Shadow and Bone” saga.
