Mike tells Kate that he lives at 84 Whitby Ave, yet in a scene where Sid leaves the house to go to work the number plate on the front of the house to the right of the frontdoor shows a number '7'.
When fixing the wall, the wallpaper falls on Sally's hair causing her hair to become visibly wet. She is told to go out and check on where the new neighbors are, but when she comes running back in, her hair is dry and styled as it was before it became wet.
In the title sequence Sid is smoking a pipe,but by the end of the titles the pipe has disappeared.
Sid hands Trevor a shovel to help him mix concrete for his shed. A cutaway shot of the mixing shows Sid's legs and his arms holding the shovel and mixing the concrete.
When Sid removes the over-mantel from the neighbors' living room and, looking at the nails that held it in place, remarks that "another half an inch and we could hang our hats on the other side". But their houses do not adjoin.
During the scene where Mike is reversing his car out of the way of the furniture van, Ron Baines is heard to say, "It might help if you steered straight," but his mouth isn't moving.
Sally recognizes Kate as the "girl from the cafe" though at that point the viewer is unaware that Sally had already visited the cafe.
When Sally and her friends park at the drinks company and then dump the cans. She doesn't recognize her fathers car which she should have, considering it a bright yellow Cortina estate/station wagon.
