Although the original Ur kärlekens språk (1969) was passed uncut in the UK in 1973 this sequel was never submitted to the BBFC and instead granted a licensed cinema club certificate by the GLC (Greater London Council). It was then targeted by Mary Whitehouse's Festival Of Light party, and successfully prosecuted by the DPP under the grounds of indecency (rather than the usual Obscene Publications Act) in 1975, leading to the distributor receiving a hefty fine.
