- There are (unsubstantiated) references to 95m37s and 85m, that would have been either:
- the Unrated West German premiere, or
- the Portuguese subtitled version "Lana, Raínha das Amazonas", intended for distribution in Brazil and in Portugal. The movie was banned from exhibition in Portugal in 1965, and the same may have happened in Brazil, where there are no references to a premiere.
- The Italian censorship authority has proof of the existence of two versions of the movie:
- the original German version submitted to the censors on March 2, 1965, with a declared length of 2500 meters but actually only 2192 meters, equivalent to 79m54s running time, which was banned from theatrical release - and which is the base of the German VHS and DVD releases, later;
- the approved version prohibited to minors aged under 18, on March 26, 1965, with 2129 meters or 77m36s, after 69 meters cuts (2m18s) of the following scenes:
- close-up of topless native woman that is spying, through the branches of the bush, a white man wrapped by a snake;
- close-up framing of the white queen, stepping nude from her bath;
- during the night fest, the framing of the line of topless dancers in a frenetic dance, then rotating in a seductive manner towards their male companions in the dance;
- elimination of the scene of two topless native women fondling a black man they had captured.
