We featured a YouTube video earlier in the year of a Doctor Who anime style animation by an utter genius out on the internet known as OtaKing77077 - and it seems the stylish clips have been added to! OtaKing77077 is in fact a chap called Paul Johnson - and his Doctor Who anime features dialogue clips lifted from the original series and effortlessly added into the fast paced Japanese style animation style seen below. The Sarah Jane Adventures – The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith Part 1 Review

29 October 2009 10:09 AM, PDT | TVovermind.com | See recent TVovermind.com news »

The Sarah Jane Adventures is in the world of Doctor Who, the children's equivalent to Torchwood. Span off from its parent show after the episode "School Reunion" from Season 2, where Sarah Jane – a companion of the fourth doctor meets his tenth incarnation, Sarah Jane is purely kids TV. However, for the first time in his 46 year history, The Doctor himself has appeared in a spin-off, and its not to give the blushing bride-to-be away!

Warning To Non UK Visitors : This Review Contains Spoilers.

Sarah Jane has secretly been seeing a new man, Peter Dalton (played by Chariots of Fire star Nigel Havers). Her team of her son, Rani, and Clyde, who were suspicious of her behaviour have used the super computer Mr. Smith to track her. In the midst of Mr. Smith and K9's jealous bickering between them, they follow her and find her on a date.

Opinion: Time Leech Diary #2

28 October 2009 3:09 PM, PDT | Kasterborous.com | See recent Kasterborous news »

Our coverage of the development of the Time Leech Doctor Who comic strip for Kasterborous continues as we switch to the diary proper... April 11th 2009 Following John Freeman’s suggestion, Brian and I decided that a competition to find a new up and coming comic book artist for Kasterborous’ own 100% unofficial and free Doctor Who strip was the way forward. The article – published March 31st on Kasterborous – reads: If you're an unpublished comic book artist with... »

'Doctor Who's hammiest ever villains

24 October 2009 11:00 PM, PDT | Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news »

Doctor Who is more about entertainment than social realism and the show has relied on a procession of baddies to raise the hackles of the audience. Not always do we end up scuttling behind the sofa though, as on occasions certain over-the-top performances have provoked cringes and guffaws instead. In the wake of Elisabeth Sladen’s hamtastic turn as the Androvax-possessed Sarah Jane, we look at some other 'interesting' depictions of villainy in the Whoniverse over the years... Soldeed Graham Crowden’s performance in the 1979 story ‘The Horns Of Nimon’ is the purest piece of unadulterated ham in Who history. Theatrical is not the word. Stomping around the corridors of a spaceship with a wild-eyed glare and scowl, he delivered some shocking dialogue in the most overly enunciated pantomime-esque style possible. "You are all doomed. Dooooomed!!" (more) »

More Doctor Who tidbits

23 October 2009 6:03 AM, PDT | AOL - TVSquad | See recent AOL - TVSquad news »

Prepare for some spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you. By the way, Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor (or the 12th, depending on how they spin David Tennant's extraneous regeneration) in case you didn't know.

Actually, it's not that bad. From an article posted on The Doctor Who News Page, it is learned that his new companion, Amy, is a police officer. In a few photos, he also seems to be wearing the remnants of Tennant's outfit. From the description, the Doctor is probably going through some post-regenerative trauma. When has the Doctor ever regenerated without trauma? Never, I think.

I know they film out of order, but it feels odd to know already what his outfit is going to look like. Here is one other possible minor spoiler: in the scenes filmed, the Sonic Screwdriver gets destroyed (and Matt Smith was slightly injured in the process). Between »

Tennant Tops Time Lord List

David Tennant has travelled through time to top a list of the U.K's most popular Doctor Who stars in the sci-fi show's 46 year history.

The Scottish actor has played the Time Lord in the cult BBC series since 2005, taking over from acclaimed star Christopher Ecclestone.

And his five-year run, which ends in 2010 when newcomer Matt Smith takes over, is the viewers' favourite - he won almost 26 per cent of votes from readers of Doctor Who magazine.

Tennant says, "I am so proud of this."

Other actors to have played the famous character include Tom Baker and Jon Pertwee. There have been 11 incarnations of the Doctor, including Smith, since the show first aired in 1963. »

Tamm hopes for 'EastEnders' return

22 October 2009 8:00 AM, PDT | Digitalspy | See recent digitalspy news »

Former Doctor Who Time Lady Mary Tamm has expressed her hope that EastEnders will ask her to return for another stint. The 59-year-old, who was the fourth Doctor's companion Romana in 1978, made a brief Walford appearance earlier this year as Charlie Slater's (Derek Martin) wayward Russian lady friend Orlenda. Charlie - or Chorley as he affectionately became known - met Orlenda at the airport on his return from Madeira when his friendship with Brenda Boyle (Carmel Cryan) broke down. The London cabbie quickly invited Orlenda to stay with him for a while, much to the dismay of Big Mo (Laila Morse), who quickly accused her of being an illegal immigrant. However, when confronted, Orlenda reluctantly confessed to Charlie that she was a con artist but couldn't go through with fleecing him because of his affable nature. Charlie was subsequently left (more) »

The town of Stockbridge has some strange goings on. A lot in fact. So much so that it had to step out of the pages of Doctor Who Magazine and hop into the audio world of Big Finish – once again - with this months new, somewhat comedic, Peter Davison release, Castle of Fear. The Doctor and Nyssa decided to go on a bit of a holiday into the past of Stockbridge, 1899 to be precise. However, no holiday is complete in the Doctor Who universe without a bit of a mystery to solve. In this case,... »
