  Potiphar : I haven't the faintest interest in herbs. Pearls are teardrops from the night sky. Herbs make me vomit!

  Potiphar's Physician : But the herbs are very good for you. They keep you in good health, my lord.

  Potiphar : My health is not improved by your vile brew. Wine is the blood of life. Rich red wine. Merchant, tell this fool physician that I'm right!

  Merchant : Only wine, my lord.

  Potiphar : Exactly. You're a sensible fellow. I'll take the pearls.

• Potiphar : But now that you're back I'm going to give a great party in your honor. The Pharaoh himself will sit at your right hand and all our friends will...

  Heneth : Will notice my sadness.

  Potiphar : Must you always torment me with your discontent? I can't give you anything more.
