The first live-action adaptation of The Adventures of Tintin, with a script that did not connect with the books.
Only Jean-Pierre Talbot (Tintin) and Max Elloy (Nestor) appear in this and the subsequent film Tintin and the Blue Oranges (1964).
In the albums, Tintin and Haddock never went to Greece nor Turkey. In the sequel "The Blue Oranges" (1964), he never went to Spain.
Tintin mentions two places that Captain Paparanick went: Shanghai and Africa. In the albums, Tintin went in Africa, precisely in Congo (Tintin in Congo) and Shanghai was where Tintin lived his adventure classic "The Blue Lotus". However, Tintin went to South America 3 times in the albums (2 times in fictional San Theodoros and in Peru), but never in fictional Tetaragua. Strangely, Tintin's last full adventure, was in South America with Tintin and the Picaros.
