- In the Italian version, during the museum sequence, Raoul explains his plan to Jose, in front of the "Maja Desnuda" (The Nude Maja) and the "Maja Vestida" (The Clothed Maja). In the Spanish version, Raoul explains the whole plan in front of the "Maja Vestida", due to censorship.
- The scene of Raoul discussing with Scorceletti about painting the "The Nightshirt Maja", was shot in a different angle and some jokes were cut to reduce the scene.
- The French version runs 78 minutes. 20 minutes are cut, some Totò scenes were reduced or cut, including:
- Scorceletti and Tobia presentation (reduced).
- The Police Station scene (completely cut).
- A Spanish Castilian DVD released in 2005 (distributed by "JV Imagen"), cut many scenes of the movie, reducing it down to 64 minutes. It was done because, the distributor try to add the French dubbing into the original Spanish theatrical Cut. Both French and Spanish cuts had almost the same running time (around 78 minutes), but they not share the same sequences. So when the French dubbing was missing, they simply cut the whole scene. 12 more minutes were cut from the original Spanish theatrical cut. In 2013, another DVD edition came out (distributed by "Memory Screen") presenting the 99 minutes Italian cut. The missing footage had to appear subtitling. But that distributor used the Spanish Castilian dubbing extracted from the 2005 DVD and not from the original theatrical release. Nearly 75 minutes of the Spanish Castilian dubbing (from the theatrical released) matched with the original Italian print (if you take away the 2 scenes that were shoot differently for the Spanish release). But they had the missing 12 minutes dubbing from the 2005 DVD. This was proved on a Spanish online series called Special Collector's Edition (2010), in a comparison between the VHS and DVD release of this film.
