elo-equipamentos1 December 2019
The time is running out to the Stooges, sadly the end is near, once more ours friends are in big trouble as homeless, cooking a boot to eat, Moe reads on newspaper about an opportunity that they waiting for, a job actually near them, arriving there they saw a spaceship, however didn't recognize it, but just a fancy house, mislead by the Prof. Rimple and his daughter they are hired and start right away, the spaceship takes off towards to Moon, nevertheless they has a visit on first planet called Sunev (Venus on backwards) landing there they finds a gorgeous Amazons, actually cannibalistic women, has many gags around on every scenes, Joe Besser wasn't a real stooge, therefore doesn't disappoint, as when he breaks the lever and let the spaceship without control!!

For 1957, pretty funny, and even a bit risque.
haywood-230 August 1999
Most Stooges fans shrug off the shorts that were done after Curly Howard's departure from the trio. But Joe Besser, who replaced Shemp Howard, after Shemp stepped in for Curly, is not bad at all. He's got his own unique mannerisms, almost effeminate or childish, but not overbearing. The idea of three Amazons overpowering the guys in this film and then tying them up and tickling their bare feet was pretty far out stuff for the Stooges! It was done innocently enough, but the Amazons were out to tickle the boys to death, then eat them! Could've been entitled the "Femdoms Attack the Three Stooges." There is an overpowering sexual overtone here that can't be denied. Aggressive women with the men as sex objects, albeit the Three Stooges! But beyond that, the short has got some typical Stooge slapstick and dialog that keeps it amusing and makes one glad that the group didn't retire too early. Give it a chance!

Warning: Spoilers
"Space Ship Sappy" is one of my favorite Three Stooges films with Joe Besser as the third Stooge. True, the Stooges and dialect comic Benny Rubin might be overacting their parts at certain times in the short. But it is the Stooges' boundless energy and enthusiasm that give "Space Ship Sappy" its charm and keep this fun little comedy moving at a rapid pace. (Those of you who have not yet seen this short should not read any further.)

Highlights: During the opening scenes establishing the Stooges as bums, Moe tries to light a cigar but lights his nose instead, and Larry puts on his burning shoe ("fillet o' sole and heel" as chef Joe calls it), prompting Moe and Joe to join him in a lively dance. At the end of the short, an emcee (Emil Sitka) presents a trophy to the boys for being the biggest liars in the world. Amidst all the funny slapstick and dialogue on board the spaceship, one in particular involves Larry looking out the window and seeing a gigantic bird laying eggs all over the sky; when Moe opens the window and looks out, sure enough, his face gets pelted! Later on, when the Stooges run back to the ship, they accidentally knock out the professor (Rubin) and his daughter (Doreen Woodbury) when they quickly swing open the large door on the ship. And finally, it is very pleasing to see the various close-ups of Moe, Larry, and Joe laughing hysterically as the Amazons nearly tickle them to death.

"Space Ship Sappy" is a winner among the Joe Besser Stooge shorts. I strongly recommend this picture for Stooge fans who may not think very highly of Joe, because "Space Ship Sappy" is a very good example of how well Joe worked with Moe and Larry.

Good one!
Movie Nuttball7 July 2004
The Three Stooges has always been some of the many actors that I have loved. I love just about every one of the shorts that they have made. I love all six of the Stooges (Curly, Shemp, Moe, Larry, Joe, and Curly Joe)! All of the shorts are hilarious and also star many other great actors and actresses which a lot of them was in many of the shorts! In My opinion The Three Stooges is some of the greatest actors ever and is the all time funniest comedy team!

This is a good Three Stooges short with Joe! Benny Rubin, Emil Sitka, Lorraine Crawford, Harriette Tarler, Marilyn Hanold, Doreen Woodbury are all in this Three Stooges short! It is a funny one and its cool one and is a good one to watch and is one of most different Three Stooges shorts that was filmed.

Those guys....

Warning: Spoilers
The boys land on a planet and meet sexy Amazon cannibals. These guys get their Barefeet tickle and laugh hysterically.

Moe is so much older. Larry and Joe are the not so older guys. Bennie Rubin and the blond girl are on a spaceship.

Benny is the professor who warns the boys about Flora and Fauna. The boys think the girls are Flora and Fauna. I can imagine if the boys tickle the girls feet instead because females feet are way sexier.

The boys have been masters of slapstick comedy. Curly was the most popular stooge.

Joe De Rita was not talented or funny,he later badmouthed the stooges. Moe is the boss.
