A harrowing and hard-to-bear experience., 8 September 1998
Author: Ron Kerrigan (mvg@whidbey.com) from Whidbey Island, Washington

Because it's based on a true story, this story about survival of the fittest is especially gripping.

It's hard-to-bear at some points because the choices the man in charge is forced to make are so hard, and you have gotten to know each person in the boat a little. Tyrone Power gives a strong performance and you feel like you know what it was really like in that crowded boat.
