The music throughout the movie is really interesting. The acting is pretty good as are the sets. It provides another glimpse into post war tokyo and really plays on the poverty that drove the women into this trade. If you like old japanese films then this should be on your hitlist. If you want to know what it's going to be like in your neighborhood after WW III you may want to watch it as well.
