  Daffy Duck : [elbowing Bugs]  That's me. It's gonna be me.

  Elmer Fudd : ...A sparkwing personawity, genewous, chawitable, self-effacing.

  Daffy Duck : [looking flattered; giggles]  This would be embarrassing if it weren't true.

  Elmer Fudd : [coming into the audience where Bugs and Daffy are seated]  And what is your name, sir?

  Daffy Duck : Daffy Duck's the name, as if it weren't inscribed in gold on that little old book.

  [nudges Elmer] 

  Daffy Duck : You master showman, you. You may proceed me to the stage, sir.

  Elmer Fudd : [ignoring Daffy]  Awen't you Bugs Bunny?

  Bugs Bunny : Who, me?

  Daffy Duck : Never mind him; we've only got a short time to do my interesting career. Let's get on with it.

  [grabs Elmer's book] 

  Daffy Duck : Read the name. Good and loud, mister!

  Elmer Fudd : BUGS BUNNY!

  [Daffy's eyeballs protrude at the sight of "BUGS BUNNY" on the book's cover] 

• Daffy Duck : [loudly]  How do you like that? Now wouldn't that gall you, sister? This is supposed to be *my* life, so what do they do? They take an unknown, and of all things, a rabbit! Who's interested in a rabbit?

  [Granny starts looking around her seat] 

  Daffy Duck : [picks up an umbrella]  Is this what you've been scratching around for, sister?

  Granny : Yes, it is.

  [takes the umbrella and smacks Daffy over the head with it] 

  Granny : And now, maybe you'll keep that yellow beak closed for a while! I'm trying to look at the show!

• Bugs Bunny : [explaining his life story]  Then I started to get me first tooth.

  Elmer Fudd : Uh, never mind, never mind, we won't start from the beginning.

  Daffy Duck : Throw him out! Throw him out!

  [gets hit again with Granny's umbrella] 

  Daffy Duck : Oh!

  Granny : SHUT UP!

• Daffy Duck : [Yosemite Sam, along with Elmer, has presented Bugs with a ticking gift-box containing -- what else? -- a bomb. Seeing through this, Bugs attempts to pass it back... which results in a 3-way game of catch. Then Daffy rushes onstage and grabs it]  *I'll* take it...! After all, this should have been MINE anyway. *I* really deserve it.

  [Bugs, Elmer, and Sam cover their ears as Daffy walks offstage with the "gift"... which promptly goes off. Daffy returns to the stage and gets in Bugs's face] 

  Daffy Duck : ... If you even TRY to thank me for saving your life, I'll smack you one in the puss!
