Not much really of a story outside of a British official (John Bentley) in Kenya trying to prevent tribe wars due to the actions of the chief's son (Morasi) to kill the chief of a rival tribe to prove to his people his ability to rule. Journalist Martha Hyer follows Bentley all over Kenya to get the story and as a result encounters charging rhinos, slithering snakes, wildfires and ultimately a showdown between Morasi and his enemy. The film is beautifully shot with gorgeous colors showing off the African plains, with various wildlife doing what African wildlife does when confronted: fight or flight.

The story truly is secondary to the natural wonders shown, and it appears real when the jeep that Bentley and Hyer are in is threatened by rhinoceros. You don't really get to see the wildfire, but here the crackling of flames that are destroying the trees and shots of fleeing zebras, giraffes and elephants. Various kinds of snakes are shown, and at one point, Bentley backs away from a giant boa in a tree, not knowing what's on either side of him or behind him. The fight sequence between Morasi and his enemy isn't really believable as a fight, but sets up the situation involving the bushfire. Ultimately just something to watch for a trip to Kenya without leaving your living room.
