The man who was following the star's wife
dbdumonteil15 March 2015
Another vehicle for operetta singer Luis Mariano ;he sings less than in his other movies, but the title track is heard several times;as for Louis De Funès's numerous fans ,who may be attracted by his name in the cast and credits, they will be disappointed :his part of a piano player is not much more than a cameo.

The plot is derivative: a singer is idolized by the crowds and works overtime to fulfill his commitments ;he never stops to catch his breath ,and has little time for his wife ,portrayed by the lovely Martine Carol, future pre-BB sex symbol of the fifties ;as ,sick and tired of this husband's fleeting appearances ,she leaves him for a buck.A guy ,who has always been in love with her,and who has been following her for months ,comes to the singer's rescue and suggest he take the unfaithful wife back home.

Based on a play "Le Suiveur De Madame" ,and ,dare it be said, not very funny.
