A clever situation makes for a better than average short.

Warning: Spoilers
The silly Hugh Herbert can barely run his banking business let alone remember his anniversary, and when a pair of jewel thieves slip pearls into his pocket in a bar, he accidentally presents them to his shrewish wife. But the thieves have tailed him and want the pearls back, leading to misunderstandings surrounding the blonde femme fatale (Christine McIntyre) who slipped the jewels into his pocket in the first place. While a few of the pratfalls are funny, it's the situation that works in the film's favor. Herbert is an acquired taste, but here the situation he's in actually makes him funny as his accident prone ways and the other characters makes the viewer feel sorry him, with one of the worst domineering wives in film history.
