Released in the UK under the novel's original title "Ten Little Niggers..." (the ellipsis appears on the title page). In the US version distributed by 20th Century-Fox, the more familiar "And Then There Were None" accompanies a modified title sequence. Both title sequences are available on the 2001 Image DVD.
Other differences between the two title sequences: (1) US version has a short prologue preceding the title, "Ten Little Indians Went Out To Dine...." appearing word by word over a shot of the figurines, (2) US adds copyright information to "Harry M. Popkin Presents" page, (3) US puts the title in quotation marks and moves the "From the novel by Agatha Christie" from the screenplay credit page to this one, (4) a growing question mark appears in the center of the US title screen, and most transitions between pages are accompanied by waves filling the frame and receding as if crashing on the island's rocky shore, (5) US lettering uses deeper drop shadows and has various changes to timing to accommodate the prologue without altering the music.
