- Saboteurs are blowing up government warehouses (during World War II). Roy and his pals work undercover to put an end to their operations.
- The Governor sends Roy to help bring in a gang of saboteurs. Roy joins a traveling show and soon learns the saboteurs communicate during Maurice's mind reading act that uses a hidden receiver. But Maurice is on to Roy. Roy narrowly escapes when Maurice leaves him tied up in a warehouse they are blowing up. - Dave Mason (James Bush), owner of a traveling tent show, and Maurice (Gerald Mohr), one of the performers, are secret agents of a Nazi sabotage ring. Texas Governor Shuvile (Russell Hicks) appoints rodeo star Roy Rogers (Roy Rogers) to investigate the ring. THe appointment is secret and Roy reports directly to the governor. Roy, noting the sabotage is always near where the tent show is playing, attends the show with his pal Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette), and with the aid of Maurice's two female assistants , Judy Mson (Peggy Moran) and Ruby Smith (Dorthea Kent),both unaware of Maurice's villainy, are hired for a week long engagement as singers. Roy uncovers proof that Dave and Maurice are members of the gang, but decides to make no arrests until he learns the identity of the gang leader. Maurice kills Dave and frames Roy for the crime .
