Got nothing out of this
Despite being credited as the last official Betty Boop (a great character in her prime, but once the Production Code was enforced her trademark personality got significantly toned down and her cartoons were vastly inferior) cartoon, 'Yip-Yip-Yippy' doesn't have her in it at all.
Although that's disappointing and strange in itself, 'Yip-Yip-Yippy' has far more significant problems than not having Betty Boop in it. As somebody who likes Fleischer a lot, finding their cartoons visually stunning and often imaginative and ahead of their time, 'Yip-Yip-Yippy' was a big disappointment with very little at all to recommend it, hard to believe that it came from Fleischer.
The best thing about 'Yip-Yip-Yippy' is the music score, which is energetic and beautifully orchestrated. The voice acting is decent too, otherwise 'Yip-Yip-Yippy' is lacking.
For a Fleischer cartoon, the animation is pretty primitive and unimaginative complete with murky picture quality. The gags are not particularly funny, and the material is both too weird and too safe. The story is slight to the point of non-existence and pretty routine.
'Yip-Yip-Yippy's' characters are not particularly fun or compelling.
To conclude, a very poor cartoon with little to recommend. 2/10 Bethany Cox
