• Continuity: During the boat race home, two identical shots have Captain Disko saying, "Hold it to 'em, Manuel. We'll hold it right to 'em."
  
  
• Continuity: Harvey hits Manuel twice on the left shin with an oar. Just a bit later, Manuel boasts to the crew about forcing him to work, saying that Harvey would do anything for him. "Maybe he break my leg, too". Manuel holds up his right (the wrong) leg and rubs it.
  
  
• Continuity: Harvey's position, and his hat, change after being hit by the captain.
  
  

• Continuity: In one scene later in the movie, Manuel has Harvey by the neck with his left hand, but then changes to the right.
  
  
• Audio/visual unsynchronized: When Manuel is in the water and speaks Portugese.
