Sex & Nudity

  • A woman wears a dress which exposes her upper bare back, although is only shown briefly a few times.
  • Marky (Shirley Temple) is shown wearing a thin dress slip, which exposes her arms and legs.
  • There are two scenes in which Marky (Shirley Temple)'s upper chest is briefly exposed. Once while changing clothes, and another time while being treated at a hospital.

  • Marky (Shirley Temple) falls off of a horse which was rearing on its hind legs. Nothing gory or especially violent, although it is later revealed that she was seriously hurt.
  • A man considers killing a racing horse by using a large vile of poison, which is shown briefly. He never goes through with doing this.

Profanity

  • Gang related terminology is used in several scenes, which Marky (Shirley Temple) starts adopting in her vocabulary in a few instances. While no explicit swear words or particularly offensive language is spoken, some viewers may find it uncomfortable to hear such a young girl using this terminology."

  • Marky (Shirley Temple) implies that she was kidnapped by saying that she once was lost, and the man who found her was arrested. This was said in a comedic context.
  • At the end of the movie Marky (Shirley Temple) is shown at a hospital after a serious injury, and it's uncertain whether she will survive.

  • Marky tells a man she could not sleep in her underclothes(body suit like undergarments with straps for buttons on the back), she calls the man to tell him to unbutton her underwear, we barley see any explicit nudity, only legs and nipples.
