Little Red Riding Hood gets the Dinky Doodle treatment. Lantz' series at this stage was a sort of Out-of-the-Inkwell inspired thing in which he interacts with his creations in this version of the fairy tale. The Wolf exhibits a lot of Felix the Cat traits in his initial appearance, but those soon disappear in a welter of gags that seem somehow mechanically inserted and timed. Otherwise, except for Dinky smooching with Red, this is a straightforward version of the story.
Lantz would later retreat to production duties, although he always kept a hand in on the story conferences and later reappeared on the small screen for the television show that spotlit his cartoons. But while competent, this is not a great cartoon, even for the era -- or perhaps given the inspired lunacy of Ko-Ko and Felix, not especially.
