This encounter happens exactly in the moment when Gabriel is filming a documentary about break-ups. Gabriel then ends up inviting André to take part of it.

- "Rupture" is a look at a complex and little-known period in the recent history of Algeria, that of the thirties, a time when a political conscience was beginning to assert itself. I wanted to understand how and by what miracle, despite the small individual and collective revolts that had failed in the past, the unity of the Algerian people had been forged around the reconquest of independence. The main figures who worked, each in their own way, for this idea, are men who have always lived in the shadows and forgotten. And that's how I tried through this film to pay tribute to all those who gave up everything to dedicate themselves to a cause they considered just.

- A tribute to Brigitte Bardot, The Rupture explores what Bébé, a mother, a lover and a divinity in the eyes of all, identifies with as an inner miracle and turns into a political consciousness that prepares the triumph of a universal war seeking to embrace all human beings victimized by oppression and liberate their personal voice. However, this war is too idealistic. Bébé is filled with so many intentions that no one believes in her reality. The world seems absent. Nevertheless, this can't be true. Bébé has noticed, Bébé has intended to.. Bébé has loved, Bébé has left and Bébé has consumed herself, died through her own will, Bébé has been consumed, has been killed... What was Bébé? A phenomenon of nature, one can argue... Dangerously sincere and simple, humane because man is, per definition, strange or a stranger and thus, strangely real.

Her experience inspired this film and leads the viewer on a personal journey of recovery, giving a sense of hope to those who are isolated by their condition that is not seen therefore often misunderstood. Many first hand stories celebrate man's life force and his will to survive. The film concerns all human beings, dealing with the fragility of the extraordinary brain of which we know surprisingly little.

Even if as an adult he has everything to thrive, he still bears the psychological traumas of the blows he received. He struggles against himself to not turn into a monster and therefore to break the vicious pattern of violence. RUPTURE's goal isn't to explain how to overcome physical violence since this subject is way too vast for the short film format. However its idea is to present a physical abuse victim and to reveal the consequences it had on the main character. Rupture evokes destructive urges, intense feelings of fear and shows the ability to accept oneself.
